The Prologue

This project begins with a whisper, a quiet unveiling of a journey into the depths of human emotion, connection, and storytelling. Through the intimate lens of black-and-white headshots, I seek to uncover the unspoken truths that live within us all. Each photograph becomes a story, a fragment of the soul illuminated in shades of light and shadow.

Here, on the Moon, the heart finds its home. The Moon represents a foundation, a place where my creative exploration begins and grows. The phases of the Moon symbolize the offerings for headshots, guiding my muses through unique experiences. Beyond this, the chapters of the project unfold as distinct explorations of themes and creative approaches, evolving like constellations in the night sky. Each chapter carries its own essence, its own rhythm, while remaining connected to the singular goal of unlocking deeper human emotions.

At its core, this is more than a collection of images. It is an exploration of what it means to feel, to truly feel. To unlock the depths of our emotions and to allow them to breathe through the art of storytelling. With medium format film, through my lens, I aim to capture these moments of raw vulnerability, where the boundaries between viewer and subject dissolve, and something infinitely deeper is revealed.

But this journey is also a narrative, a creative thread woven into the fabric of this project. Two protagonists, Lyra and Evren, will guide us through the chapters, their lives unfolding alongside the photographs. They will lend narrative to emotion, grounding imagination in the art of visual storytelling. As I move forward, their tales will intertwine with mine, creating a world where imagination meets reality, and where every chapter feels like a step into the unknown.

This is only the beginning, Chapter 0. A tender first step into a project that will grow, evolve, and stretch toward the stars. Together, we will explore the shadows, the light, and all the spaces in between. Welcome home.
